I get that from a nutritional standpoint you donโt have to buy organic avocados, however from an environmental standpoint I think that those who can afford organic should opt for that, especially because of the environmental impact avocado farming has on our climate (deforestation, shipping emissions and so on). That aside, great video as always ๐
I have had smoothies that made me feel awful afterwards. So glad you talked about this.
First off, I love your videos, Josie! However, please be cautious about giving out nutrition advice, when you are not qualified to do so. Taking a nutrition course does not equate to having a degree in Dietetics. Additionally, please take everything said by 'The Glucose Goddess' with a pinch of salt and do not use her as a single source of truth. While some of what she says makes sense (a lot of it is what dietitians have been advocating for years, so it's nothing new) much of her content lacks proper substantiation and can be misleading. She often cherry-picks data to fit her narrative and her so-called "research" mainly involves anecdotal experiments conducted only on herself, which is inherently biased and does not provide conclusive evidence. Furthermore, she is currently promoting a supplement aimed at reducing sugar spikes, despite the absence of any clinical evidence to support its claims, this should ring alarm bells straight away. There are many qualified registered dietitians on platforms like YouTube who can provide accurate and science-backed nutrition advice. Some examples include Abbey Sharp, Priya Tew, and Abby Langar. I apologise for the lengthy message, but given the attention she is receiving right now, I felt I had to say something. ๐
Hey, what do you put in the seed mix?
Where are your earrings from at the beginning of the video please?
Very good info
Have to say, talking about the sustainability of nespresso (nestle) is kind of short sighted.
OMG – I do this with fresh soups – I add my homemade broth too. Itโs a great way to use it โค
I don't have the best teeth, several crowns. So I can't eat the nuts and seeds
Thank you, Josie. Your food is very familiar to me. In the mid 1960's my mother read a book called, "Silent Spring" by Racheal Carlson. She was so influenced by this book that she became interested in nutrition like you. She made everything from scratch and was a wonderful cook, she entertained a lot with her scrumptious dinner parties. She imparted to me the importance of healthy eating and cooking from scratch, at one point I was a vegetarian for 13 years. However, I now eat meat, but not a lot. Mabe one chicken thigh or a petit filet or small slice of ham. I do eat fish once a week. I have a local health food grocery store that I have been shopping in for 25 years and purchase many of my ingredients from two local farms, even their local honey and jam. I also try to buy organic first and local second, it is great to find both. I rarely eat fruit mainly because other than berries I have never been much of a fruit eater; it is actually too cold in Massachusetts to eat cold things a lot of the times. But I do eat salads and sometimes I eat Gelato. I drink Kifer when I am in the mood (I used to drink it daily) and I have my own seed mixture I pour over certain food items. I like yogurt and granola and nuts and berries for desert on occasion, too. I have stopped making smoothies because I just don't eat that much anymore. I drink organic green tea not coffee and I always have a large glass of water as soon as I get up and a big glass of electrolytes and water when I get home from the gym. I also take supplements. Thank you for keeping it real. Yesterday I made pasta and peas with chicken sausage, which is debatable if that was good for me, but it tasted pretty good. I do cook from scratch most of the time except on date nights or when visiting friends and family. Thank you, have a wonderful vacation. I used to travel 50% for business and occasionally I would get upgraded to First class or Business class, that was always nice.
Love that you prioritize regenerative and organic meats and produce. That is so great!
You are so attractive looking but with you hair pinned back it emphasises the ski-slope, unmoving, shiny forehead of the botoxed. I'm so sorry to see you going down this route as it gives you such an unnatural look, and your forehead will start to look bigger. I'd love it if you took as much interest in treating your face as naturally as you do your food.
If anyone has diverticulitim per colonoscopy be careful with seeds and nuts. You can get them in the pouched out areas and may make you ill. I feel it is important to avoid diverticulitis at all cost.

Really interesting. Total lack of organic produce where I live, and what you can get it is pricey. Tried online for organic but find the portions etc are all based on two or above portions per meal so even with bulk cooking/ freezing wastage can be high. Add to that food intolerances and it gets even harder. Any suggestions gratefully received for suppliers. Would really like to know what nutrition course you are doing, is it online or at your local educational establishment?
Oh my word, those cinnamon swirls at Soho Farmhouse – to die for ๐๐
I cannot tell you how refreshing it is to see an influencer that just lives life and are comfortable in themselves. Others are desperately trying to outdo each other itโs become nauseating!

Josie I just read this info today about your oat milk brand. It has the same amount of seed oils as medium McDonalds fries and it spikes your blood sugar as much as a can of coke. Plant milks are not healthy. You would be better off drinking raw whole milk. FYI. Thought you would like to know this.
Dear Josie,๐ฟ
Delightful narrative. Thank you for sharing. ๐ฉท
Question, non related. I've looked/looking high and low for your floral milk frother.
I remember it was gifted to you, but I cannot find that video.
Would you mind sharing who makes it and how I could find it in America?
Thank you so much! BTW
You were the first person on YouTube I began watching in 2019. You were in that adorable little place.
Happy New Year to you and Yours!
Love love. ๐ฟ
Just wonderful to see you keeping it real and human. Itโs great lovely organic food! You inspire me. โฃ๏ธ
Embarrassing about of ads
Oat milk is really not good for you, watch Dr Gundy and others on the oat milk issue, besides itโs like a tablespoon of oats with a whole bunch of water so itโs also expensive, not to mention itโs a phytic acid food which can reduce the absorption of minerals in your body. Real animal milk and coconut milk are the best for humans.
May I recommend Josie's Newsletter! It is wonderful & beautifully produced!

As someone who has had an eating disorder, I really appreciate your thoughtful approach to everything!
What a wonderful Vlog, thank you for all the great information. I'm going to start a seed mix jar now and keep it my fridge to add over salads and avocado toast etc. Like you I have to be careful with smoothies – I find I'm starving after them !! Have a wonderful holiday – first class travel is the best!!! Look forward to hearing more healthy vlogs from you, meanwhile relax and enjoy yourselves xx
Just love your blogs also I'm so glad you introduced us to leonora ,just love watching โค
