I tried new editing style for cutting veggies, but I'm always nervous when I try something new😅
Hope the video became a bit more entertaining by that!! Let me know your thought😃

yummy😋
A beef stew with curry stock instead of beef stock
"Their souls are weighed down by gravity… much like this bangin' chef's hat on my zaku II"
thank you I have a block of Curry Roux from Amazon had no idea how to use it.
Why not just brown the whole chuck roast before slicing into pieces? That way, you don’t have to flip so many individual items.
Why those childish toys in the frame is beyond me😅.
But it looks delicious
Am i the only person that uses the flat side of my knife to peel my vegetables?
I normally see you shred up an apple into your curry recipes. Any reason you didn't do it this time?
Just tried this recipe for the first time…came out great! My rice cooker is a newer one that is like a pressure cooker though, so I didn't need the extra "keep warm" time. Great recipe, thanks!
Why don’t you melt the curry paste when you deglaze the frying pan
Japanese curry IS the best dish ever.
I love your channel, just straight up quality cooking content. Thanks for the cooking inspiration and entertaining videos!
Happy 2025! Super yum! I’m going to make this in my instant pot.
Can it be made in a regular stove pot?
밥솥으로 간단하게 만드는 요리들 너무 좋습니다
If you only using rice cooker and doesn't have the keep warm rice cooker, you can soak the pieces of meat in baking soda first for 20-30 minutes, then rinse the meat, dry with tissue. then just follow the cooking method here, without extra keep warm time. I'm sure you get the tender meat..
hey Chef, did you happen to get your "Kentucky for Christmas" on?
Good simple video and recipe. I wish I could give a hundred likes though because of all the little Gundam figures in the background. That was awesome. And that little space ship looked like it was from Gradius.
I also use Golden Curry (mild) add more curry powder to taste, it's good stuff, always perfect curry, any meat.
delicious recipes..
subscribing…
Id use a pressure cooker instead. Same results a fraction of the time
ビーフなのがいいなぁ…めっちゃ美味しそう…
This is best of the best
OK, I'm totally going to try this in an Instant Pot pressure cooker. Love the assorted GunPla.
1:30 We usually say, "Don't crowd the pan, you will trap steam which will inhibit browning."
Some recipes (notably Cook's Illustrated) will have the cook heat the oil until it's just smoking so the cold meat won't drop the temperature of the pan too much.
I tend to use rice wine (日本酒) for deglazing the pan.
I will have to try this recipe! I’ve been craving beef curry ever since I left Japan ❤
Those sharp metal tongs in the non-stick pan… 😬
I used your previous recipe to cook curry with a rice cooker. It was very delicious! Thank you so much.
Can you do this on a instant pot? What settings?
I can live without all the MSG and sodium from the curry brick
1:50 blueyyyy 😄
I like the zaku with chef's hat
Vic Viper! 😺
BIG hello from Australia! Bluey says it looks 都てもおいしい!We love Japanese curries and its nice to see Totoro there too..😉
Cool beans, but isn’t the curry part usually thicker and not as runny?
lately ive bene using that curry roux to make curry ramen, but i love stew style curry too
This looks easier than the normal method with pod 😭 Thanks a lot chef
Omg, I wanted to experiment with beef and your previous curry recipe, and here you post great recipe for that! I am so lucky 🍀 And I already bought beef!
Thank you for these wonderful recipies.
Love your videos, so relaxing to watch & this recipe looks so easy and delicious. Happy New Year
I was doubtful that a normal rice cooker cycle would be enough to soften the beef, but then you explained the extra cooking time on "keep warm".
Golden Curry is the best! I swear, you could make this with shoe leather and it would be just as tasty! Found Golden Curry while stationed in Hawaii in the navy fifty plus years ago and have made it here in the mid-west since then. Great video: thanks much!
Thanks for showing another recipe we can do with curry roux bricks! Looks very yummy.
Happy New Year Chef Labo. 🥳 Healthy and prosperous new year ..
Take care
These are awesome videos! I have been wanting to get a rice cooker! Do you have any recommendations? Keep up the good work! Thanks!
Excellente recette merci 🙏
Интересно что у нас для подобных блюд используются мультиварки, которые по какой-то причине не так популярны на западе. А карри супер👍👍
Is the beef chewy in the end?
I would have been disappointed if there was no kombu!
