Salisbury Steak Recipe or as we sometimes call it Poor Mans Steak, or hamburger steak.
To make this recipes begin with ground beef, add breadcrumbs and the seasonings of your choice.
Cook the ground beef mixture in a cast iron skillet.
Use the fat from the ground beef to cook some onions ( I know mushrooms are a classic for this dish but we don’t care for them so we don’t add them).
Once the onions are nice and soft, sprinkle some flour to make a roux.
Add some beef broth to make a gravy.
Traditionally smother those hamburger steaks into the gravy, but I kept it on the side to keep it more kid friendly.
