I bought a pork sirloin roast, on sale. Is it good for this recipe?
I trusted your ham recipe for my Christmas party last year, and of course it was a hit, so I'm trusting this one for our housewarming party. Thank you for making such simple and delicious recipes. 🙂
I've made this twice. The first time was FANTASTIC but I forgot to put the sauce in the fridge after cleaning up so only got to enjoy it for the first serving. 🙁 Made it a second time and I happened to have two jazz apples that were starting to wrinkle so i chopped them up and threw in the slow cooker along with everything else, and it really did give it that extra level of apple flavor.
super duper delicious
Ha ha, it looked like you’re cooking Bigfoot’s foot when you turned it! 😂
This is exactly what I was looking for …slow cooked pork that I can slice…thank you for sharing this and Merry Christmas.
Grace and peace to you and yours

Trying it again but with sauerkraut this time.
This looks delicious can't wait to try it.
I just made this and it was amazing! I did not have a pork roast so i used a pork loin . I also ended up using sage, rosemerry and tyme. I did not have fresh parsley. This really is a very good recipe and i highly recommend it. I will definitely make it again with the pork roast.
Ok I'm really late here, and as reluctant as I am to question the mighty Chef John… why skim that flavorful fat if you're just going to add butter later anyway?
still needs sauerkraut.
I'm snowed in and making this dish, then discovered I didn't have a bay leaf or Dijon mustard ( I have Gulden's) will that work you think? AND Have you considered changing the show's name form," Food Wishes" to," Chef John's Cooking Pun for the Whole Family!"
Doing this for thanks giving….
Hi chef! I tried this for the first time to bring home for mom. She loved it. We had it again this morning between two garlic bread i made myself. She still loved it!
Thanks a lot.
Always.
I love this video as I love them all. However how do you do your carrots to look like that?
Apple juice humorous? Naw, me either.
Aaaand, I'm thinkin' that's dinner. Thanks Chef!
I love the corny jokes!🤣😆
Made this on Saturday, it was great. My family loved it, and said it was a keeper recipe. I did add about 1 Tbl of pickling spice to the crockpot. But other than that, no other changes to the recipe. I made spaetzle for a side. It was a yummy stick to your ribs dinner for winter.
Pork looks excellent John, but those carrots look like they belong in a museum.
And as always chef John your voice makes my day more happy…

Thanks so much! it looks easy enough for me to do! I like simple recipes…Lol
Are you the same guy that has “the wolf pit” page? Sounds very similar.
Dijon mustard, you can use Yellow… But….. DON'T. Busted! That could be construed as a joke!
if you don't strain the sauce it comes out much thicker! I made this into a pulled pork and it was awesome! Also added at least a double of the herbs the original recipe said
I can't wait to make this! First time crock pot user here and I will follow everything to a T.
I don't like over cooked foods, other than that, I think, his cooking philosophy is great …… it might look great and taste great but over cooked food is just not good enough to support a healthier body in the long run ……
So many good recipes. The frozen meal preppers are truly missing good eating,
