I didn’t have to try this to know that it wouldn’t be good on an oyster lol. Maybe a crumbed oyster that’s been deep fried but definitely not a raw one 😅 You need a sauce that’s more citrus or vinegar based because oysters are creamy.
Im not gonna lie when I read the title before watching the video I thought you were gonna use barbecue sauce… something I would NEVER do. I hope one day you can try some Gulf oysters, I get them all the time since we live so close to South Padre Island. They are great size and have a very pure ocean flavor.
That would be good on the smoked oysters. Smoke flavor is very strong. Like you said, a grilled oyster would work… try oysters Rockefeller, with it.

This might sound odd but you have to try it, apple cider vinegar, fish sauce, pepper and a little crab boil. Delicious on oyster and with blue crab.
