Coopers here in College Station, common complaint is the salt. Mostly with the beef.
Awesome!
Okay Dave, of course an epic video with Bradley however, the elephant in the room is you as a proud Englishman drinking a Mic Ultra, what the hell?
Was the comedy club Esther's Follies?
Imagine owning a BBQ restaurant and you see ole Chud walk through the door.
The hot pocket song @ 22:40, “ 🎶 hot sausage…hmmmm🎶”
Great video guys! You both always create such awesome and informative content. It's nice to see you road tripping and reviewing BBQ spots around TX. My dream job BTW!
Awesome road trip for some good old school bbq joints. I still love me some old school Q. Sometimes I need a break from the crafty stuff. Kreuz, Smitty's, and City Market are some good picks. I like Coopers but it depends on the location. Ya'll made us all wish we were on the trip too.
felt like the Bull Durham of BBQ…you got the old, the have-nots, the maybes, a few broken dreams and the once were….and I love it
Great content, more please!
Went to the Coopers in Fort Worth. Exact same layout. Super salty ribs there too, not really impressed at all with anything. ‘Palatable’ is not a recommendation – which I think was your point 😅
Watchu gonna do when the Halal crowd comes for you?
Did that guy have a head wound? Damn lol
Really enjoyed this video. Great to see you guys cruising around, enjoying some old school bbq and just hanging out.
Man I love how you guys collab on this stuff and I learn a lot from it. Thanks.
granzins meat market is great
Fantastic trip Dave/Bradley 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Coopers? Really?
I really appreciate this type of content. It's always good to see yourself, Bradley, and the boys having a good time! 👍
I've been to that Kreuz in Lockhart. It's one of the few BBQ places with room to park a semi.
You know at this point you might as well move to Texas lol.
DUDE why can’t y’all be there when I go to Granzin’s. I’m there once a week. Haha
Great video David. Been to the Coopers in NB, classic spot.
Kruez Market was the place that made me fall in love wtih sausage. It was always my least favorite barbecue meat/cut. They were sold out of everything but sausage and beef shoulder. Beef shoulder was better than any brisket I'd ever had and the sausage made me tear up.
Right on! Thank you for showing real Texas BBQ. The California yuppies in Austin making BBQ just don't get it.
I was missing Bones until I realized it was a Wilsons video.
Dave, Brad and Eric collab when?
Man this brings me back to my college days in San Marcus.
We'd just hop into the back of someone's truck and make a round to a few places.
Still love brisket and crackers. So jealous
The Cooper's in New Braunfels is better than the Llano location. Definitely have to get the pork chop there. It is awesome.
I don't know what it is about these places but I love them. So cool and the style is dying. Is the food better than all the new craft BBQ places? No, but that isn't the point.
I enjoy the road trip (a lot) but more interaction with their staff would make it more interesting. They act like they don’t know you! Impossible!!!
Dave would love to go on one of your Texas bbq tours please dm me for future dates cheers
Why is it empty?
Great vid, @Chudsbbq should do a brick smoker series.
troyer products are from my neck of the woods in ohio. the amish are productive people.
Mexican coke in a glass bottle, unbeatable. You can tell
It’s the Mexican version with the white sticker on
My God, Minnesota Sucks! we got nothing.
Great video mate! Very very entertaining ❤
All my favorites in one video – Awesome!!
One thing that might be cool for yours and Bradley’s next road trip is to take a tour of the Texas pit makers / fabricators. Especially with Bradley’s eye for design. I’m thinking Mill Scale in Lockhart, Moberg in Dripping Springs, etc… 😉
I wanted to try that sauce from City Market but sadly their site doesn't sell it.
Looks like a great trip Dave. For the algorithms bay bay!!!
Nice video mate 🙂 Really enojyed that!
Just driving around Texas eating bbq and drinking beer at old school places…that is the life I wanna come!
I loved my stop at Kruess Market. The clod and the sausage were awesome! Southside was great as well.
Time warp!
Should be there in Lockhart in 2 weeks, so really enjoyed the video 😅
The meat market in NB, Granzins has some of the best meat out there. So much made in house, including lunchmeats. Glad you got to check them out.
check out Wilson with the history of meat markets. Got a lot of those in your parts partner, I guess. 23 for a pound of brisket. Austin you should be ashamed. And why no ELGIN. Don't get me wrong really enjoyed the video.
