A classic recipe, these red-curry-flavoured fish cakes can be found everywhere in Thailand! The preparations are really simple, the hardest part is getting the right fish. Go with something super tender and you’ll be fine. I’m using basa and it worked out great!

Palin, Basa fish is a kind of catfish. Is there a more Kosher alternative that tastes similar? The recipe, however, sounds delicious!

I used fresh rainbow trout, white fleshed fish, and my own red curry paste. Fab. Thanks for the videos and such great info on ingredients and techniques.
Can you give some advice on keeping these and cooking from frozen/defrost etc?

Featherback fish is the best fish for fish cake, we uses those in VN also. The north add dill plant for aroma, delicious for noodle soup. I'll try your Thai recipe, looks amazing also.
Hi 👋 how can I store these cakes? By freezing? & Deep fry or bake later? Thanks.
FYI; Basa is not a heathy fish to consume.
