It’s really important that pasta is made from whole grains, because enriched wheat pasta has no nutrition and is a simple carbohydrate. Whole wheat and whole grain pastas are made from complex grains and are not only better for you but won;t spike your blood sugar nearly as much. Why is raos not Bobby approved anymore
I have a question: on your app, if I take a picture of Newman's Own sauce, it says approved. But if I search for it on the app, it has a thumbs down on it. Which is it? I didn't see anything "harmful" in it.

Newman's own makes a good marinara sauce. It's not as good as Rao's, but it's better than most, and healthier.
Here in Europe the Barilla pasta brand is NOT made with enriched flour.
As much as I enjoy pasta and Italian dishes, I hardly eat them anymore. The chickpea pasta is so bad, I'd rather pass on pasta totally.
I buy Passata or the pomi box sauce strained tomatoes. I use Passata with real tomatoes and tomato paste to make red sauce

Spam has so much sodium, even seeing spam lite makes me laugh. Although I grew up in Hawaii, where spam is everywhere, even McDonald's.
So basically your saying all of Italy is bad as they use the same pasta we do here minus the pesticides. I tend to buy the organic pasta .
It is also worth noting that most pasta sauce is very high in sodium. Raoās for example has 420mg/serving. Considering most people will have 2-3 servings at a time, this could be up to 1260mg of sodium. The Luciniās you showed is much better at only 230mg/serving.

Victoria brand of sauces is also an excellent choice. Theyāre hard to come by, but when I find them, Iāll stock up on a few.
Everyone should be prepared for a zombie apocalypse.
Canned meats have virtually no expiration date.
Corned beef, Spam , etc,.
In a zombie apocalypse, shelf life and calories are key.
I think itās wise to prepare and have a 6 month supply.
Always rotate your stock and as it approaches itās best buy date, donate it to a food kitchen.
Itās not very expensive to do and will give you peace of mind.

Victoria is by far the best and it's only $5.48 at Walmart. So yes, Walmart does have an excellent sauce since it carries Victoria and RAOs with have very few but natural ingredients.

If you can't eat a good brand of Italian pasta, dont eat any, just eat lentils and chickpeas alone, and make your own sauce with Mutti Pasatta tomatoes, all the orhers are crap.

I ALWAYS check the sodium level! Be aware if that is important to you. It is crazy high on most of those bottled sauces.
