Just added this comment on one of your other posts. Beware I ordered this turkey brine kit twice from Amazon and paid for the kit not the bag of brine I received. Both times they delivered only a bag of brine 😭. They are certainly not helping your reputation 😢to late to correct for thanksgiving this year 😞
Hi Susie, just put my 15lb turkey in the brine. Used all apple juice. Hope it isn't too sweet. My questions are, at 225 will the skin get crispy? and also, I see that you put the turkey directly on the grates. Could I put the turkey in a roasting pan of a sort, so it catches the drippings of the bird and glaze? Hoping you can respond before I start smoking this tomorrow. Thank You.

how often should you spray the turkey with the avocado oil while smoking?
I bought two kits in October. I did a 15 lb turkey for my son's birthday. It turned out to be the best turkey that I have ever had. I now plan to do a 19lb for Thanksgiving. Since it is bigger than 15lbs and you have warned about turkeys over 15lbs being in the danger zone too long, I plan to spatchcock this one. I know I cook to temp, but how long would you expect this to cook?
I am smoking two smaller turkeys 12-15lbs because you recommended not smoking one real big one. At 225 how long do I smoke it for? Do I go be the total weight of the two combined or just 15lbs at 30 minutes per pound?
I'm breaking rules with my turkey size but…too little too late. 🤷♂️ 21 lbs bird. At 275F, should I expect around 6.5 hours? Thinking of doing 275F for 5.5 hours and cranking it to 350F for the last hour to crisp the skin. Am I crazy??
Is it possible to leave the turkey in the brine too long? Like a full day too long?
What about putting stuffing in it?
Just made this today as a trial run for Thanksgiving. The grandparents love it and so do we! Even without the sauce there was plenty of flavor from the breasts. Adding the sauce turns it into candy, so delicious! Hats off to Susie and company.

I only wish that I could post a picture of my final product to show how awesome this product is! I used it and I love it! The best pert is that I have enough left over to do another turkey for Christmas. I sure hope that you bring this out again for next year!

Your recipe will be used by me this Thanksgiving. Using your brine recipe since your kits was sold out. Bought some cranberry sauce on line. I'm ready to go . I have done turkeys on my weber using hardwood charcoal for several years. But I went to a Pellet smoker grill last year and love the experience . I will let you know how it comes out..
Just bought the kit and I realized there is one thing missing for next year. Please put a injection bottle with the small Tony chareree needle in this kit.

I am stoked to try this out. By the way, I am using a combination of Apple and Pecan pellets. This is mainly because it's what I had left over and also because Pit Boss put out a "Harvest Blend" which is a combination of those two flavored pellets. I'll update on how it turned out!

So I was the guy that ordered the kit and bought a 23lb turkey. So what's the issue with cooking one this big? Didn't understand her 140 degree comment. You would just cook it until it's 160?
Wouldn't the sauce make the skin soggy?
Question: in one of your previous videos ("Smoke Turkey – How to" from 11/14/19), you quartered an apple and an onion, then inserted them into the turkey cavity with other aromatics. In this video, you haven't inserted anything into the cavity. Are you no longer recommending that or is it not necessary with the combination of the brining and rub? — Thanks in advance!
