  1. Thx Algorithm…I bought a salad spinner a couple months ago and felt like i had been using it wrong. Without ever searching YT or Google this popped up…😮
Same for cleaning berries and other small veggies and fruit?

  2. I would toss the salad spinner water and NOT use it for anything, especially watering edible plants.
    Why?
You wash and spin the veggies to wash off contaminates. Now, you aren't sterilizing them. The wash water has contaminates in it like pesticides and microbes like the current cyclosporiasis.
You are not eliminating it but you are reducing the amount still on your veggies, and trying to get the level low enough so you don't contract it.
The water coming off the veggies will still have contaminates in it, just fewer.
Best to toss it it and water with fresh, clean water.

  3. Don’t forget you can add ice to the spinner bottom, fill with water, and use the strainer portion to hold the lettuce and sit in the spinner— allow any wilted to crisp up a bit before spinning

  4. I have been using salad spinner for yrs. On the video, that's way too much green for that bowl. You should wash it batches and allow more water to loosening the dirt that clinging to the green. As long as you don't see any dirt in the water bowl, your green is ready .

  5. This short was released in the middle of a cyclosporia (sp?) outbreak currently affecting lettuce. The lettuce is likely contaminated by unsanitary lettuce-pickers. Will salad spinners clean salads of this germ or not? What about blanching the lettuce?
