Trying Keystone Ground Beef Canned Hamburger Meat Food Storage Prepper Pantry #prepping #recipe

Trying Keystone Ground Beef Canned Hamburger for the first time! I’ve had this canned meat in my Food Storage Prepper Pantry for 6 years and finally tried it. I love that this canned ground beef only has 2 ingredients (beef and salt), has no preservatives, is gluten free, made in the USA and best yet…fully cooked! Keystone meats have a 7 year shelf life (at least) and are perfect for prepping. The meat tasted great and I will definitely be buying more.

I’ve been able to find it at some Walmarts, on the Keystone Meat site, and also on Amazon:

Let us know where you’ve been able to find them please!

  1. Canned ground beef, canned chicken not good!
    Why not eat fresh ground???
But I understand for emergency planning!
But again you can of course freeze hamburger, for quick meals.
Worst thing I ever tried, canned chicken breast meat, horrible!

  2. I'm turning you into the authorities for mixing the damn spaghetti noodles together with the sauce! That's a crime in 53 of the 50 states! Noodles on the plate with the sauce on the top! No expectations 😅

  3. i'm scared to eat it. but that fear would dissolve in a real emergency situation. too bad science is not there to make it look and taste the same 20 years later as it does the day its cooked. they add too much weird stuff in this stuff that causes stomach pain and indigestion. freeze dried eggs are known to do this

  4. Since WW2 and up until the 70's, canned meats were very common in grocery stores. I remember the canned whole chickens very well.

During the 70's when the "health food" craze began, canned meats were still available, but many grocery stores stopped ordering them, since most people were buying fresh meats more than canned meats.

Eventually, most businesses stopped carring canned meats other than SPAM, tuna, and chicken.

Canned meats has come back up somewhat nowadays, but the cans are small and expensive.
