Nothing beats dairy queen, cant get that same texture/flavor out of the supermarket.
Love love Turkey Hill from Lancaster Pennsylvania best ever and cheaper than Haagen-Dazs
Graeter’s is good enough!
They obviously went mass produced. I agree with the results. Went to a Turkey Hill factory as a school trip years ago. If you ever get to do that…….😃
As usual, this test misses the mark because if one lives anywhere other than the north east the brands are not the ones that people buy. Here in Wisconsin, we have Kemps, Cedar crest, blue bunny…
When I lived in the south we had blue bell. Yes, Häagen-Dazs and Edie’s are national brands, but not the favorites in other regions.
Higher fat ice cream always has less flavor, IMO, whether it's chocolate or vanilla. As Jack pointed out, fat coats the tongue. Ice milk, no longer sold in stores, was the best—clean-tasting, fresh, and very vanilla-y.
You dont need to waste those peoples time, get rid of the audience. Were not monkeys that need to see their reactions.
Blue bell Dutch chocolate is by far the best.
Häagen-Dazs till I die!
They have a live audience?
I hate the overrun ice creams. They're somewhat slimy.
Would never have known or tried Turkey Hill Dutch Chocolate and Vanilla but saw thiis ATK episode on PBS maybe 4 years ago and tried It! Not sweet enough or chocolaty enough.
I do buy it though. However Safeway in California is discontinuing this brand as of 2/22 due to lack of sales. No other stores carry it. I protest!
Haagen Dazs by a country mile. Has really high cream content. Decadent. Best flavor is Chocolate Chocolate Chip – and it's always the first flavor to be sold out.
Now that Thrifty 🍨 is available on the east coast, the test kitchen is due for a revision!

Lies and slander! I bought Turkey Hill specifically because of ATK's recommendations and it was no good. 🙁 I'm honestly surprised Blue Bell didn't make the cut.
How do you do 110%?
I've never even seen Turkey Hill Ice cream in my life and I'm 58 years old. Where is it sold??
Haagen Dazs is my favorite
Haagen Dazs is the correct answer
I just realized that most of your taste tests are pretty useless to Canadians… Unless you tryout the more world popular Brands like this Häagan Daszs or Kraft products (you know what I mean) we mostly see your U.S. products that no one outside of States have heard of!! 😒
Most of your taste tests are frustrating & not worth watching anymore!! 🤷♀️ However, I did appreciate your small kitchen appliances testing way back when.. But then most of these are so outdated that recommendations are often off the market! A recent RE-upload ATK put out on Handheld Vacuum Sealers is so old that the products are nowhere to be found this year… And yet..it was re-uploaded just a few months ago!!🤨
C’mon know!! What’s up with that?? Don’t bring out old videos… BRING THEM UP TO DATE!!
Now..what makes me coming back to ATK channel are the recipes… Even out dated good tasting video recipes are never Past Due!! 🥘🤗
That being said…now I have to go out & get me some choco ice-cream & Cream Soda to make an Ice-cream Float😋
I'm with you it's Hagan Das all the way …and the chocolate peanut butter is to die for (even if the peanut butter can be clumpy making it difficult to serve unless you eat the whole tub all by yourself right out the the tub…no serving necessary 😉
Gifford ice cream in Maine is one of the best
Strange choices! Blue Bell rings my bell! Especially their Dutch Chocolate. Years ago their cartons "said" WE EAT ALL WE CAN AND SELL THE REST.
Blue Bell?
Blue Bell gets no love from these people.
But who can be such a critic of anything chocolate?! It's just criminal I tell ya!!!😊😉🤭
I'm a Blue Bunny's fan myself! Mmmmm…. chocolate!!😋😋😋
"Surprise, surprise….surprise!" in Gomer Pyle's famous voice!😄
If you've never treid publix brand ice- cream or their yogurt then your in for a real treat…better than blue bell..an thats sayin alot people…
This lady needs to stop eating ice cream while he is talking.
Straus Family Creamery has the best ice cream, bar none.
Love, Love TURKEY HILL..MMMM❤
Any Chicago area baby boomers remember Jewel foods Yummy brand? THAT WAS THE WORST!!
Turkey Hill on sale this week for $0.47 at Safeway in Phoenix. But again I prefer Haagen Dazs too.
