Simole to drill a hole and install thermometer. Thats what i did. Also got the hunged grates amd the baskets. Still came in cheaper than the mroe expensive models

That chicken looked great! Be sure to use masking tape for the spot you plan to drill for the thermometer. Also put it low on the vent side making sure it doesn’t get in the way of the lid hook. Great video!

Just ordered, have SWM 18" for smoking but need something for grilling. For $119 I couldn't resist! I just need it hot to grill, don't need to know temp. So excited
I have the same kettle grill. I use it a lot and it really does everything that the more expensive weber kettle grills do.I will upgrade in the future to the weber kettle performance grill but for now this kettle does everything that I need. Great video

I just bought one yesterday. It should be arriving today around 8pm. Except, they're sending out a tech to assemble it for me monday right before I head out to my job(It was free). I also have the 18 inch webber and wanted to upgrade. Made the same move.
Do you think that the weber compact could perform as good as the original?
How often are these supposed to be cleaned? Like the inside walls and stuff. After every cook?

You should've sprung for the 22 premium. The hinged grate, ash catcher and thermometer would have been worth the extra cash in my opinion
