Beer Can Chicken
Beer Can Chicken is a BBQ Classic. It’s a great method to obtain a super juicy smoked chicken. Plus it’s fun to cook!
You want to start with a room temp beer (or even warm it). Otherwise putting a cold can of beer in the cavity of the chicken will cause the middle of the chicken to take forever to cook and potentially be unsafe.

Who makes beer can chicken with water aka American beer
Can you use a 16 ounce can when you do a chicken. I've got a Pit Boss and this is my first time doing a beer can chicken.
I you aren't going to taste the beer, it's just going to add moisture, then why don't you just use water or broth or something? What's the point of the beer.
Ya lost me when ya sprayed that bullshit in there
Nice set up and nice bbq shop we don’t have any bbq shops here. Wish you nothing but the best sir
I just made my 1st one. I did not baste with butter. I used Gospel also. The skin is pretty chrispy but the meat is sooo tender and juicy. It was a 5lb bird and took about 2:45 hrs @325. I'll probably do another one next week..
It's easier making burgers for my work crew.
My garage has become my temp kitchen because the actual kitchen is under renovation due to a water leak.
I love my Traeger!!!
Thanks for the video! Always love watching you cook.
I have had my Pit Boss for awhile and I just can't wait to try this on it I've been wanting to do Beer Can Chicken and I've been looking for the right way to do it. When I get ready to do it I will try my best to tell you how it went! Thank You Meat Church!!
Besides beer and cola what could I use?
I’m thinking about trying this with a can of ranch water what are your thoughts?
I did this today and it came out really.good. thanks for the video.
I have tried a wide variety of seasonings, some hit the mark, but I always come back to Meat Church products, plus I like Matt’s videos, especially mean tweets

How did you remove the top?
Matt's videos have definitely helped me along my smoking/grilling journey. I was such a fan of the presentation from the videos that I started buying his rubs. My favorite is the hot honey for pulled pork and this gospel all purpose. I love to be able to support creators and his rubs have never let me down.
Just want to take a minute to Thank You Matt and Meat Church crew for such great products and for all the Help making us better Pitmaster’s
