Learn how to make perfectly cooked pasta every time. In addition, you can learn how to keep your pasta from sticking to itself as well. For perfectly cooked pasta, you want it to be “Al Dente” or slightly firm. Pasta is also meant to be served room cool… The sauces and meats are hot, but not the actual pasta, so don’t worry about cooling it down in the sink when you rinse it!
What you need:
Large Sauce pan or a stock pan. Use something big enough so that the pasta can move freely so it doesn’t stick.
1 tbsp. salt
1 tbsp. olive oil
1 box of pasta of your choice
Here is a chart for boil times of some various dry pastas:
Angel Hair – 5 mins
Elbow – 7 mins
Rotini – 7 mins
Linguini – 10 mins
Spaghetti – 10 mins
Fettuccine – 10 mins
Penne – 11 mins
Farfalle – 11 mins

Nel 1970 i dottori dissero che era meglio mangiare la pasta al dente , dicendo che era più digeribile ma non dissero il vero motivo , e cioè che il grano in quel periodo era fortemente inquinato , e a distanza di moltissimi anni , il grano è tornato normale , pertanto , la pasta si può mangiare cotta , che è sempre stata più digeribile , in quanto cotta , e lo stomaco non deve lavorare tanto quanto faceva per la pasta al dente .
È colpa della pasta al dente se uno ingrassa , perchè lo stomaco deve lavorare il doppio , e non ce la fa , secondo il ritmo naturale del corpo , di conseguenza, si tramuta in grasso e pancia .
You lost me when you rinsed wayyy too much. A true al dente pasta needs no rinse. You time it and drain it earlier than the al dente point because it continues to cook. No wet pastas in Italy. No sauce will stick to wet sink water pastas. If you truely know about al dente, you would never rinse in the first place. And why did you add oil? And why are you putting your hands all in it?!?! This is not right. Learn something before posting. My Nona is rolling in her grave. I'm praying to the saints for you.

Never add oil to pasta
Hi Joe , I am perplexed as to why you added oil to your pasta water. The oil prevents a good sauce from sticking to the pasta. Even if you rinse your pasta some of the oil still remains and your sauce still doesn't stick properly. If you do it to keep the boiling water from overflowing use a wood spoon instead. Place it across to top of the pan. It prevents the water from boiling over. Just a tip and not intended to criticize.

Next video Alfredo Sauce :). Looks good. AL Dente is the only way to eat pasta. When I go back home my Mom and Aunt boil pasta way too long, its so soft its not enjoyable at all.
