  1. The recipe just has brown sugar for the glaze, but on the video you cooked it with the meat. Also the recipe says to cook on 375 but in the vide you cooked it on 350 🤔
I have it in the oven now and I'm SURE it will be delicious, but those 2 things were a little confusing. And I HAVE to find one of those meatloaf pans with the draining rack 😊

  2. Thanks AB, that pan is a must have. No more setting in its grease. I've seen the loaf type pan, but not that style with the added piece. Any side item goes with meatloaf. Many types of potato dishes, even rice. Mac and cheese, endless combos.

  3. Cooking is “to each their own “ often it’s what we grew up eating. Meatloaf was an exception for me. As a kid I absolutely hated mom’s meatloaf and never ever fixed one as an adult. However for my oldest daughters wedding I borrowed a very large stick burning smoker that held the 14 turkeys and 14 briskets with room to spare. With the extra grill space I decided to do a large meatloaf. Now smoked meatloaf is still a regular for our Sunday meals, after many years and still the only way I will eat one.

  4. I do mine pretty much the same EXCEPT i saute my onions and peppers first so that they are softer in the finished product and blend in more. They barely cook down in the meatloaf if you dont. And also, i use 2lb of ground venison or 1 lb venison and 1 lb ground beef.

  5. This is great. My meatloaf is never consistent. It ranges from great to just alright. It’s never been so bad that it couldn’t be eaten. It’s thought that the ground beef is the problem. It’s never the same even if the lean to fat ratio is the same. With this recipe it is hoped that consistency will come in to play. It sounds delicious and it looks great. It’s also pretty 😍
Heinz is my go to ketchup.

  6. I need to order one of those pans! AB your meatloaf recipe is very very close to mine! It is delicious! I add W sauce & 1/4 tsp mustard to my meat mixture plus the ketchup & brown sugar. The rest is the same as yours!
