Not a fan of collagen…it’s just doesn’t have a nice texture and has almost like a paper feel. Natural hog intestines gives you that nice pop when you bite into it, and it has a waaayyy better texture.
If they can recreate the "snap" and the curve they'd be perfect.
I've used both. Natural is better for the finished product.

The natural casings you can buy from bass pro shops or Cabella’s (same thing unfortunately) are processed and packaged in CHINA.

Why don’t you use beef rendering instead of pork ? Is there a difference in taste ?
I’ve used both. The natural casings are much better and I use them primarily for my Italian sausages. The collagen’s I tend to either put them into the smoke house or into the curing boxes then let them age. I sell these or give them out to local hunters for their weekend hunting trips. Love this channel.
